WTF?

The dealership called to give me bad news about my car this morning. You ready for this? I mean really ready? You WILL NOT believe it.

Updates below.

It was stolen. My fuckin car was stolen. In 4 days I have to make a payment on a car that I have no possession of. That's just fucked up!

UPDATE: 2:50 pm - My claims adjustor just called. She asked all the questions I want the answers to. When I told her I couldn't get a hold of the guy at the dealership to get these answers myself, she asked for his name and number so she could call him directly. She said she'd call me and tell me what he said. However, Josh is on his way over to get me so we can go there - he's pretty upset that no one has called me back since this morning.

UPDATE 2: 5:10 pm- Josh and I went to the dealership. Found Mr. Service Manager, and he never once apologized to us about the theft of our vehicle. The first thing he said was, "If you've called me I haven't called you back because I've been working on .... and I'm the only one who knows how to do it, so I haven't been in my office all day. I mean, I really JUST walked into my office." Umm...that told me that he had listened to my voice mails, but didn't want to call me back. He said that the car was in the shop, the keys were in it, and they (the thieves) spent plenty of time there, because they stole computers, tires, tools, etc. He wasn't at all sypathetic. We asked about a loaner car and he said, "Your insurance company is primary, ours is secondary. They should be able to take care of that for you." Josh told him I was unable to get one for a couple of days and he said he could look into it, but it'd be a couple of hours before he got back to me. yea right. I just called him back, and guess what?! I got his voice mail. I asked him to call me ASAP about a loaner car. I don't think he's going to call me back. EVER.

UPDATE 3: The Service Manager called me back at 5:55 as I was pulling into the rental car place. He said, "Its really between the insurance companies now. Our insurance person was here today, but I don't know what was said." I just said alright was trying to get off the phone as he was giving me his excuse as to why he doesn't know what was said. He continued to say stuff, and I brushed him off - I think he noticed I wasn't Miss Nice Nice anymore. As I started to hang up I heard him say, "I'll keep in touch". I said, "mmm hmmm" then I hung up. Prick.

I've got a friend in the car business, who thinks I'm getting the shaft. He's going to look into their insurance policy. He said they would've offered a loaner right then as a goodwill policy.
