So, I set up this new humidifier thing in our room this weekend to help me breathe at night. The first night the cat was interested, but didn't really bother with checking it out too much. Instead, since Josh was gone, she slept on his side of the bed and stared at it. Yesterday, after Josh got home, I moved it to my side of the bed. For some reason this made everything much more interesting for the cat. She seems to like everything on my side of the room. Around 1am, she decided to start checking it out. First she jumps on the bed beside me. Then she tries to climb over to it. I pull her back. She gets down. I fall back asleep. She jumps on the table and knocks my glasses off. I wake up. She jumps down. I go back to sleep. She jumps on the bed beside me and tries to climb over to it again. I pull her back. She gets down....blah blah blah blah blah. Finally. I realized that Josh is going to wake up and blame it ALL on me. Then I remembered that he always says, "Why don't you put her outside?". So that's what I did. I put her outside. Then I slept for about an hour and thought she learned her lesson and let her back in. Oh no. She started it all back up. So I put her back outside - completely against her will. I felt bad for her, but dang! I gotta get some freakin sleep. I don't go around waking her up all day while she tries to sleep. She got to come back in at 5:45. Of course by then, she wasn't the least bit interested in it at all. I'm sure that'll all change by tonight.
