The Weekend

Yesterday, Josh and I did a little shopping. Purchased a few gifts, about 6 rolls of wrapping paper, and some Holiday cards. I love wrapping gifts, so as soon as we got home I got started.

Then, we went out with Pat & Karen last night. First to dinner in Deep Ellum, then to Gilley's Dallas. P&K are our college buddies that are also expecting their first child - one day after we are! It was really nice to go to a bar and not have to inhale second hand smoke. I know the smokers hate the fact that they can't smoke inside locations in Dallas anymore, but they still have the option of going outside and getting their fix, while we non-smokers get to enjoy not breathing it in. I think that everyone wins this way. Whereas, before we non-smokers had to breathe in their smoke whether we wanted to or not. It was especially nice waking up this morning and not smelling like an ash tray! Anyway, we stayed and listened to the Randy Rogers Band. After his show, it was 11pm and us preggo's were ready to go home.

Today I have plans that include laundry, trying to finish our Christmas list (figure out what to give to those on the list), and making an Orange Marmalade Layer Cake (found in Cooking Light magazine).

This week, I will be on vacation, but I plan on doing some work from home. I also plan to go see my family, including my grandparents, for Thanksgiving - where I know I'll find my grandpa's purple hull peas on the table, my grandma's cornbread dressing and a yummy Greenberg Smoked Turkey!! I hope you all enjoy your week, and if you're traveling I wish you an uneventful and safe trip.
