When I found out that Veriz0n services the town I'm moving to, I took a deep breath and rolled my eyes. My history with them told me that this would not be good.
Okay, so you already know that we currently don't have service. Well, here's where we stand now. Josh checked the outside box to see if we had a dial tone in one of the jacks and we did. So he re-checked every jack inside and found nothing. I called Veriz0n and told them what we found and their response was, "I can have someone come out and check your lines, and if there's a problem with the jacks inside, there won't be a charge since you signed up for (whatever that inside protection plan is), but if we have to rewire outside there will be a fee." If you know me, you know I was immediately annoyed and I told her, "There won't be a problem with the inside jacks since we both know that the phone worked a week ago when the previous owners line was still turned on. So, it'll be an outside problem and you're telling me I'm going to have to pay for it?" Her response was that we wouldn't have to pay for it if its outside, unless its a rewiring issue. DUH! That's still an outside issue!! When I asked her how much they charge to rewire, she told me $81.00 (and I think she might've said "for the first hour"), but I was so pissed at that point that I cut her off and told her that was the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, and that if the phone worked on week ago, it should be working now. Of course I got the standard, "I'm sorry you feel that way, but that is Veriz0n's policy."
Yea...I guess my feelings of them won't be changing anytime soon.
