BUZZ

I *really* shouldn't drink 2 cups of coffee just before bedtime. I CAN. NOT. SLEEP!

Genius

I don't know who invented this (and the children's version), but he/she is a genius! I LOVE it!!!

Merry Christmas!

I'll be away from my computer for the next few days, so I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!

Josh and I exchanged gifts with Kevin & Merrin last night, and then after they left, Josh asked if I wanted my gift from him. This was his second time this week to ask me so I said "sure". Well, he made me cry with the one, lone gift. It was the dragonfly necklace that I said I'd like to have back in August. Thanks baby!!

Oh, I almost forgot. We got a new dishwasher, range and microwave last night at Lowe's. 12 months, no payments, no interest! Dude...I'm all about borrowing someone else's money for a year. Too bad for them that I'm going to pay it off before they get to charge me interest!

We ARE the Rednecks in the Neighborhood

We've joked about being the rednecks in the neighborhood, with Josh backing his truck up to a hill and unloading Kevin's "tractor", and then pulling the bushes out of Kevin's front yard by attaching a tow strap to it and the front of his truck and throwing it in reverse....

Well, today was the ultimate redneck move...a deer hanging upside down from the monkey bars in our backyard in suburbia Flower Mound.

So Little Time

It's been so crazy lately that I have barely had time to do any shopping for the holiday's, or clean house, or much of anything besides spend time with my son. I certainly won't complain about that though. The one thing I need to do, which I started two days ago, is to get my Christmas cards out. Hopefully I can finish addressing them tonight and mail them tomorrow. Although, I don't think I have enough.

Josh came home from pheasant hunting tonight. G and I missed him very much. We better get in good time with him though because he'll be headed out this weekend to go deer hunting.

This is our second Christmas with the Donahue's as our friends. The other night we played Scene it together, and we reminisced about last year's Christmas fun. Tonight we exchanged Christmas Ornaments. The first of many exchanges to come, I'm sure. They gave us this gorgeous Silver Bell made by Towle Silversmiths, which is engraved Christmas 2004. Thanks y'all!

I love Christmas ornaments. Its funny that they gave us one with the year on it, because I decided years ago (not too long after Josh and I got together) that I was going to ensure we had an ornament every year that had the year on it. We started dating in 1997...so I think I started the "anniversary" ornament in 1998...but I can't find all of them right now, so I'm really not sure.

For those of you who don't read the baby blog, but are interested, G crawled on his hands and knees last night! And tonight, when I said "Ho Ho Ho!", he looked up at the Santa on the mantle. I was shocked that he associated the "Ho Ho Ho" with the Santa on his own. For the last week I've let him look at and touch the Santa, and I say HO³ and he smiles, but I didn't think that he would know to look that way on his own when we haven't even looked at Santa yet! He's so smart! I'm so proud!

"Zzzzzzz....."

Yea....when you snooze, you really do lose. We finally went to get a tree like K & M's, and they were ALL GONE! I cannot begin to tell you how upset I was. I mean...I knew they would be gone, but I was in denial....hoping that they would still have at least one. So....what to do? I have no idea! Our ceilings are too high for a 7 foot tree, but I don't want to waste my money on a tree to just tide me over for this year. And, I don't really want to bring in a real tree because of the baby. I guess we'll borrow K & M's old tree (7 foot) for this year, and then hope that they'll have more next year!
